3rd Annual Cookin' Cookin At The Creek is Postponed!
Check Back for Updates
Cookin’ At The Creek BBQ Cook Off is Greater Longview United Way’s biggest event. Gearing up for our 3rd year, it proves to be full of scrumptious food, live music, and tons of fun! The money raised at this event benefits the non-profit agencies supported by Greater Longview United Way. The first year we had nine teams, last year we grew to 15 teams and this year, well we want 20!
This event will feature local BBQ teams serving up some great vittles, live music on Friday night with local up and coming Cody Wayne Band, plus family fun on Saturday! Each ticket holder will be allowed one “vote” towards their favorite cook team all of which are vying for the coveted People’s Choice Award. Tickets will also be sold on Friday night for the chance to be a guest judge for Saturday’s competition! Only sold at the event, they will be $10 each! (Cook team members will not be eligible to win)
Judging is Saturday and awards are given for entries in the categories of Brisket, Beans and Anything Pork. Lots more food will be available for snacking along with some sweet treats from Hospitality Health ER’s ice cream truck. Lots of fun things for the kids to do on Saturday like face painting, yard games, and bounce house. And of course there’s always the Bear Creek Smokehouse General Store, you won’t want to miss that!
Tickets for this event are $20 for adults (21 & over ONLY on Friday night), kids 10-17 are $10, 9 and under are FREE!
