Home Repairs
The Home Repairs Program is partnering with the City of Longview Housing, the City of Longview Police Department's RENEW Longview Program, East Texas Council of Governments Housing, community organizations, and volunteers from churches to provide minor repairs for low income homeowners in Longview.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of low income homeowners, especially the elderly and/or disabled by utilizing volunteers to provide minor home repairs so that Longview homeoweners can continue to live in their homes. Repairs are funded by Greater Longview United Way and donations received from local businesses, churches and organizations.

Repairs we do
- Replacement of light bulbs/switches
- Window and door replacements
- Weatherproofing, caulking
- Replace ceiling tiles
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Unclog drains
- Repair leaky faucets
- Replacing damaged sheetrock, rotted boards
- Minor interior painting - not for cosmetic purposes
- Repair/replacement light fixtures, ceiling fans
- Yard work
